£25,500 + overtime (Overtime paid at a premium after standard working hours)

Hours : Monday – Friday 40 hours (flexibility required on hours dependant on project location. Occasional overnights stays will be required )

My client is one of the market leaders in providing short term computer rental and AV hire services to a range of customers through the UK and Europe. Due to growth, they have an opportunity for a AV Installation Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have an adaptable, flexible can-do attitude and willingness to help them deliver exceptional customer services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the Preparation and Installation of a wide range of AV solutions. The scope of work can range from single items of equipment to large scale event rollouts across UK and some in Europe.
  • Prepare and configure AV equipment including large format screens, audio systems, printers, and lighting equipment.
  • Test equipment functionality and readiness prior to dispatch.
  • Apply firmware updates and conduct fault diagnosis where required.
  • Capture and maintain Quality Assurance records for tested equipment.
  • Service Delivery & Support
  • Work to delivery schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to specification.
  • Keep the Rental Management System (RMS) fully updated with order progression.
  • Handle queries and escalate issues from sales staff or customers.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience as an AV Installation Engineer in the exhibition and events industry.
  • Be capable of wall mounting Large Format screens
  • Be able to install free standing Screens
  • Capable of installing and setting up multi panel Video walls
  • Have capability to install and support small PA systems
  • Understand and be able to put together a Video conferencing setup of screens and cameras.
  • Have adequate IT skills to be able to install, run and control video content.
  • Be an outstanding team player, working well with others; someone who is not insular to his trade but willing to learn and help others learn a constantly changing variation of equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels, both written and verbally.
  • Ability and willingness to travel across the UK and Europe as required.
  • Have a flexible, adaptable approach in terms of working hours.
  • A full driving licence.
